Mr. Greg McKelvey, a native of Atlanta who had recently retired from a thirty plus year career with IBM. Greg held a B.S. and Masters degree from Georgia State University. His wonderful life on this earth ended on November 26th at the age of 65. His passing was the culmination of a one year gallant struggle against leukemia. Greg was a long time member and advocate of GCO and a staunch supporter of the Second Amendment. His family was long-time hunting enthusiast and that is where Greg learned a life-long enthusiasm for gun safety and ownership. Greg was active in helping GCO and the gun industry in Georgia by participating in volunteer administration of local gun shows. Our greatest sympathy goes to his brother Dale from Dawsonville and sister Vicki McKelvey Wheelis of Brunswick. We feel very blessed to have known and been friends with Greg and will miss his smile and companionship greatly.
The family has asked anyone wishing to commemorate Greg’s life to consider donating to the Leukemia Society and/or consider donating platelets in honor of Greg by contacting ‘Nancy Herring’ at (404-459-8744) ext – (7004).
To all who were fortunate to know Greg we are deeply saddened to share this news and ask that you remember Greg in your prayers.
Tony Tiffin and Jennie Baker.
